So I'll start to address this review to the gamers expecting a GTA-like or sandbox gameplay prior to developing further in my review. It's an open-world map at most, in which you can drive and explore the marvelous Los Angeles of 1947, reconstructed like nothing else before. Don't look for a GTA-like or a sandbox game, there's nothing of that here. On the other side the game itself is a total disaster based on common videogame standards. Its story-driven point&click aspect is addictive. Then try and rerun the Social Club Setup.exe found in. "A newer version 1.0.6.6 installed for Rockstar Games Social Club. You might get this message when you try to execute the setup : Valve should find some way of fixing this issue to automatically install the Social Club Redistributable when you restore but for now, this is the solution. Just install that and your "socialclub.dll" error will disappear and the game will work fine. Go into your LA Noire folder and look for (steamapps\l.a.noire\3rd) in this folder, you'll find an exe titled "Social Club Setup.exe". I found that the issue isn't with the Rockstar Games Social Club application, that has nothing to do with it but its to do with the Social Club Redistributable.
I also had this issue when I deleted my LA Noire install and restored a backup later. I've read in a few places where people had this issue.
